How committed are you to each other?
This is the part where a lot of people get the shivers but it is also one of the most important things to be considered before taking the all important leap. The word commitment is associated with other word such as trust, loyalty, obligation, pledge, promise, guarantee, dedication and more. Take a hard and honest look at him/her, does he/she reflect all those words? you need to understand that you are going into a huge contract, one not to be taken lightly. Commitment from both parties is so important that without it the marriage may not survive. It is what will see you through the various changes you would go through in your lives together. Marriage comes with a lot of different situations, some wonderful, some lovely but some not so pleasant and some challenging. The wonderful ones? We all love them and live for them but the challenging ones are the ones we need to stick together to get through. You need to be sure both of you are ready to make the required sacrifices and give all the love and support at those times.
